Netgear D6300 mates 802.11ac WiFi with ADSL, risks one heck of a mismatch

Hmm Engadget sees this as a bit strange but the fact that people have a lot of traffic flying between devices internally with media centres etc make this seem like common sense to me. A lot of people will reside on ADSL 2+ until FTTC/P reaches their price point they are willing to pay...

ADSL Nation XTE-2005 Vs BT OpenReach I Plate

I've just had these in the post but will be testing these [See pic] over the next few days on my home connection.

OpenReach's first rural Fibre only Exchange (FOX)

ISPreview.co.uk have a interesting article on OpenReach's FTTP including fibre Voice Accress services.

The really interesting part is this paragraph:

"BT has confirmed to ISPreview.co.uk that the existing copper loop will be removed and replaced with FTTP serving 1,400 lines currently on the exchange, which incidentally is a Market 1 (BT only) area where only basic ‘up to’ 8Mbps ADSL services are currently available."

Sounds costly.
